WHERE TO GO

I wrote and recorded this poem in my dining room six months into sheltering at home. It has been almost nine months since the first documented case of COVID-19 in the US. We have reached another landmark today -- more than 6 MILLION cases and the loss of so many lives. The collateral damage to family, home and livelihood seems almost unsurmountable. Civil discourse has been severely eroded. With so many horrors in the headlines, those in dire straights seem to have left the public eye. What happens when you have no home in which to shelter?
