Description: Writing stories in verse creates a new perspective and novel approach to an already familiar work. The elements of story and the use of rhyming couplets will be explored. Techniques and methodologies for writing in verse and overcoming writer’s block under deadline will be utilized during an in-class exercise. Preparation: participants will be required to bring a very short outline (for their own reference) of an original, personal, or public domain story and be prepared to create a short synopsis. Festival runs April 1-30 online and in person.
